BMS Group Limited has announced the appointment of Ryan Jones as Director of Cyber Risk Intelligence. He takes up his position with immediate effect, reporting to Ian Gormley, Managing Director, BMS Risk Solutions.

Ryan has extensive experience as a cyber risk specialist and has advised a number of (re)insurance brokers, Lloyd’s syndicates and (re)insurance businesses on cyber protection, risk management and building and managing enterprise risk management programmes. Ryan previously had a successful career as a Sergeant of Marines with the United States Marine Corps.

Richard Jackson

Charles Taylor Adjusting (CTA) has bolstered its aviation capability with the appointment of Richard Jackson as Resident Aviation Surveyor and Adjuster in Dubai. Richard brings over 25 years’ aviation engineering and insurance experience with him.

Richard’s appointment further enhances CTA’s service offering in the region and continues their commitment to both the local and international insurance markets. He will be responsible for strengthening CTA’s aviation presence in the Middle East and surrounding areas. His expertise on the Boeing and Airbus fleet will be particularly valuable to CTA’s clients in the region, who are experiencing substantial growth in both narrow and wide body aircraft fleets.

Richard joined CTA following three years with an international aviation adjuster. He previously worked as an aviation engineer with international airlines including Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and Monarch Airlines. He has type approval on numerous Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

Robert Robideaux

JLT Specialty USA, has announced the appointment of Robert Robideaux as the EVP and Regional Head of Client Development, focusing on private equity and alternative investment funds.

Robideaux joins as a member of JLT's Private Equity Executive Committee. His responsibilities will include client development, recruitment and management of a team focused on delivering JLT's specialty risk solutions to the alternative investment community.

Charles Higham

Everest Re Group, Ltd. has announced the appointment of Charles Higham to the position of Vice President and leader of the Financial Institutions Group at Everest Specialty Underwriters, a division of Everest Insurance. He is responsible for leading the management and professional liability lines of business for all types of financial institutions as part of the broader growth initiatives at Everest Insurance.

Charlie joined Everest Insurance from Zurich North America, where he led the financial institutions group. Charlie started his career at Gulf Insurance Group and has held several underwriting and management positions in the international and financial institution departments at both The Hartford and Arch Insurance Group.

Robert Rokicki

Aspen Insurance, the insurance segment of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, has announced the appointment of Robert Rokicki as Senior Vice President, Head of Onshore Energy & Construction for the Americas.

Reporting to Tim Kania, Global Head of Energy & Construction, Robert will be based in New York and will focus on driving targeted growth across the Americas. With nearly thirty years of experience as both a chemical engineer and underwriter, his expertise aligns with Aspen's focus on utilizing talent to deliver value to brokers and customers. Robert most recently served as Senior Vice President in the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical business unit at Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), responsible for profitable growth across the U.S. and Latin American portfolios. With additional previous experience at AIG/Chartis, ACE, and Swiss Re, Robert has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Gleason is currently Ironshore’s regional executive for South Central, based in Houston. He will continue in that role, as well as be responsible for developing integrated insurance solutions for the energy sector in alignment with Ironshore underwriting specialists throughout its global platform.

Sanjoy Mukherjee

Everest Re Group, Ltd.  announced yesterday that Mark de Saram, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Everest Reinsurance (Bermuda), Ltd., has notified the Company of his decision to retire effective April 6, 2016.

Mr. de Saram joined Everest in 1995 as Vice President of its United Kingdom and European operations and in 2004 was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Everest Re (Bermuda), Ltd. Mr. de Saram also serves as director and Deputy Chairman of Everest Re (Bermuda), Ltd. and Everest International Reinsurance, Ltd. In addition, he is Chairman of the Board of Everest Re (Ireland) Limited and a director on the Board of Everest Underwriting Group (Ireland) Limited.

Mr. Dominic J. Addesso, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Mark’s strong leadership, wide market knowledge, and underwriting talent have contributed, over many years, to the success we have had in building out Everest’s global position. During his tenure, Mark, amongst other things, was instrumental in establishing both our Bermuda and Ireland operations and also assisted with our recent entry into Lloyd’s. With more than 20 years at Everest, his guidance and counsel will be greatly missed, although I am delighted that he has agreed to remain as a non-executive director on the Boards of several of our operating companies."

Mr. Sanjoy Mukherjee will succeed Mr. de Saram as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Everest Reinsurance (Bermuda), Ltd., subject to Bermuda’s Immigration Department approval. Mr. Mukherjee, currently Executive Vice President, Secretary, and General Counsel for the Company, will continue in his current role while assuming these additional responsibilities.

Mr. Andrew Carrier, General Manager of European Operations, will succeed Mr. de Saram in assuming full management responsibility for the Company’s London, Continental European and Asia-Pacific reinsurance operations.

Paul Newson

Novae announces the launch of its Accident & Health team. Paul Newson has joined as unit head and reports to Stuart Heath, divisional head of property.

Paul brings over 30 years of industry experience to Novae. He started his career in claims at Alfred Blackmore Insurance Brokers and became a personal accident underwriter for the B.P. Theakston syndicate in 1989. Paul held roles at JLT, Harvey Simons syndicate and Oxygen Insurance Managers before joining Marketform as class underwriter for A&H in 2006.
